Opened in 2006, Amaravati Ayurveda Residence is a 47-room Ayurvedic Health Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Located approximately 30 minutes from the heart of Chiang Mai city, the residence is located in a tranquil setting, on a hill amidst beautiful rolling mountains.

Amaravati's main focus is to provide its guests with authentic Ayurvedic treatment for rejuvenation and detoxification.

One of Amaravati's unique features is its focus on connecting guests with the deep silent level of their own consciousness through Meditation and Yoga. The deep rest gained in these practices aids the healing and rejuvenation process. Guests also have a valuable life tool to take back into the world when they leave Amaravati.

Amaravati has preserved the traditional method of selecting and preparing the Ayurvedic herbs used in treatments. These herbs are both used as part of topical oil treatments and taken orally to aid in detoxification.

Guests enjoy a unique experience that includes live Vedic Recitations by Brahman Pandits from the center (Brahmastan) of Amaravati's outdoor courtyard. The Brahmastan is surrounded by gardens that grow organic vegetables, which are served to the guests, and Ayurvedic herbs that are used in treatments.

The actual (east facing) building is very unique because it has been designed in the ancient tradition of Vedic Architecture. The astronomical alignments and room positioning is designed to aid in the process of connecting residents with the universe.

The Amaravati experience is unique and that includes the food. Guests enjoy traditional and delicious Ayurvedic lacto vegetarian cuisine. Menus that are specially designed to match the guests' body type (Pitta, Vata or Kapha) as food is considered part of treatment and all meals are included in the cost.
